The National Integrated Energy and Climate Change Plan (PNIESC), which represents Romania's commitment to the joint effort to meet the European energy and climate goals set for 2030, is an obligation of each Member State, according to the Energy Union Governance Regulation, which they develop 10-year energy-climate policy strategies, starting with the period 2021-2030.
ROSERV GREEN ENERGY has initiated a transformation program through revamping/refurbishment, strategically oriented for the production of biofuels necessary to reduce the carbon footprint of automotive fuels.
Bioethanol is used both for direct mixing with gasoline (under the conditions imposed by European Union directives) and for the production of ETBE (essential component for increasing of the octane number for motor gasoline). In fact, 30% of the bioethanol production that will be obtained in the unit which is the subject of the project, will be consumed in own refinery for the production of ETBE. Because the production of ETBE is at the beginning in Romania, but also in Europe, the demand for bioethanol is growing on long term.
